Charles "CD" Highley 64

Charles David “CD” Highley 64 of Winn Street in Mt. Sterling passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was a member of the Gateway Christian Church and a retired fire fighter for the Montgomery County Fire Department where he worked for 37 years and was the Battalion Chief. He is survived by his Wife of 40 years Vickie Highley of Mt. Sterling, son Scottie Highley and his wife Leslie of Mt. Sterling three grandchildren Jacob Scott Highley, Malcom Hunter Highley and Oliva Marie Thomas all of Mt. Sterling, sister Sue Ann Gay and husband Bill of Mt. Sterling, a special Aunt Marie Staton and his extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents Malcom and Elizabeth Highley. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Gateway Christian Church in Mt. Sterling with Bro. Bill Kilgore and fire department Chaplin Howard Hamilton officiating. Friends can visit Sunday from 5 till 8 PM at the church. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery in Salt Lick. Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City is in charge of services.
