Ernest "Dude" Baker 95

Ernest “Dude” Baker 95 of Slade widower of Jean Baker passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Marcum and Wallace Memorial Hospital. He had a love for folk art, singing and playing the harmonica. He is survived by a daughter Ruth Meadows and husband Gerald of Slade, two grandchildren Timothy Meadows and wife Rosie of Frenchburg, Rebecca Parker and husband Mitchell of Clay City, six great grandchildren Jordyn Belcher and fiance Michael Cox of Pikeville, Kennedy Belcher of Clay City, Kirsten Cornett, Deona Meadows, Madison Meadows and Ayden Meadows all of Frenchburg and one sister Nellie Wills of Middletown, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents Isaac and Abby Baker, wife Jean Baker, a son Roy Baker, Eight brothers Edsel, Isaac, Pete, William, Chester, Elijah, Ralph and Russell Baker, three sisters Jean, Fannie and Stella Baker. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Raymond Tipton officiating. Friends may visit Friday from 5 till 9 PM. Burial will be in the Mountain Chapel Cemetery. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge of services.
