Thelma Townsend

Thelma Townsend 76 of Winchester wife of the late John Townsend passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Ashland. She was born in Clay City October 27, 1946 to Dewey and Betty Fraley. She was a home maker. She is survived by a son John Townsend JR and wife Tina of Winchester, a daughter Carolyn Veger and husband John of Missouri, eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, six brothers Eddie Fraley, Bill Fraley, Steve Fraley, Ricky Fraley, Jimmy Fraley, Donnie Fraley, five sisters Goldie Berger, Ann Sorrell, Rita Miller, Sue Hisle and Wanda Baly. She was preceded in death by her parents Dewey and Betty Fraley, her husband John Townsend, two daughters Nora Tibbs, Thelma Jean Meadows and two brothers Freddie and Gene Fraley. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill White officiating. Friends may visit Tuesday from 5PM till 7PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Townsend Cemetery. Pallbearers are Johnathan Townsend, Wendell Fraley, Terry Fraley, Aaron Martin, Michael Miller and Tyler Ellis. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge of services.
