Mavis Carol Spencer

Mavis Carol Spencer 77 of Clay City passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the Kenwood Nursing Home in Richmond. She was born November 6, 1945 in Clark County to Ernest and Emerine Hopper. She was a Seamstress. She is survived by a son Joseph W. Spencer and his wife Vicky, a granddaughter Ana Spencer, and two brothers Wayne Hopper and his wife Joyce and Russell Hopper and his wife Kris. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Spencer, three brothers Charles Hopper, William Hopper, Thurlon Hopper, and two sisters Elizabeth Mansfield and Margaret Griffith. A Memorial service will be held 6 PM Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Grayson Fuenral Home Chapel with Bro. Kim Rose officiating. Friends may visit Friday from 5 PM till time of the service. Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City is in charge.
