Mathew Lee

Mathew Emanuel Lee 82 of Clay City departed this life October 11, 2023 at the Georgetown Community Hospital. He was born August 8, 1941 in Clay City to the late Noah and Irene Lee. He was a retired elevator repairman, a member of the United States Army and a member of the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church. He is survived by two sons Darin Lee and wife Norma, Duane Lee and wife Carol, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two brothers Gloyd Lee, Sammy Lee, six  sisters Louise Merion and husband Derek, Bonnie Derickson and husband Henry, Mattie Wasson, Tammy Snyder, Wilma Stokley, Charlotte Sparks and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Noah and Irene Lee, four brothers Noah Lee JR, Rondall Lee, Jerry Lee, Gary Lee and a sister Glenda Taylor. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the Full Gospel Light House Church in Clay City with Bro. Paul Day and Bro. Sammy Faulkner officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 5 PM till 8 PM at the Full Gospel Light House Church. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers are Duane Lee, Darin Lee, Mollie Lee, Gloyd Lee, Jamie Rice and Bill Hyden. Honorary Pallbearers are Buford Mattingly, Sammy Faulkner, Paul Day, Bryson West, Sammy Lee, Nate Hyden, Gary Tipton, Brian Lee, Alex Taylor, Adam Taylor, Tom Taylor, Henry Derickson, Janet Day, Wayne Riddell and Bill Joyce.
