Obituary

John Williamson 72 of Clay City passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. John was born April 7, 1950 in Mt. Sterling to Charles and Julia Williamson. He was a retired truck driver. He is survived by two sons John Travis Williamson (Jamie) of Florida, Christopher Brian Williamson of Florida, a daughter Loretta Provencher of Florida, a sister Retha Dee Brown (Gerald), three nephews Billy Ross, Kirk Ross, Keven Brown, three nieces Suzanne Dalton, Samantha Simon, Lisa Willoughby, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Bud-Bud. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Julia Williamson, two sisters Evelyn Lee, Vernetta Ann Williamson and a nephew Timothy Gerald Brown. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, March 20, 2023 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City. Friends may visit Monday from 11AM till time of the service. Burial will be in the Vaughn’s Mill Cemetery in Clay City. Pallbearers are Travis Williamson, Grant Lewis, Keven Brown, Jared Daniels, Bird Dog Willoughby, Chad Gray and Kirk Ross. Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City is in charge of services.
