Janet Compton

Janet Compton 81 of Morehead passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Life Care Center of Morehead. She was born July 28, 1941 in Stanton to Charlie and Nannie Benningfield. She was a retired Factory worker and a member of the Spruce Valley Church. She is survived by a son Chad Compton of Winchester, two daughters Angie Fuller (Darrell) of Morehead, Jean Cantrell (Troy) of Jeffersonville, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, Lonnie Adams who was like a son to her and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Nannie Benningfield, six brothers Roy Benningfield, Troy Benningfield, JR Benningfield, Marion Benningfield, Bill Benningfield, Ralph Benningfield, four sisters Maude Arthur, Lizzie Willoughby, Imogene Meadows and Sylvia Fouch, and Willie Compton Father of her children. Visitation will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Clay City from 10 AM till 12 PM. A private family service with Bro. Scott Barnes will follow. Burial will be in the Benningfield Cemetery. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge.
