James Means Obituary

James Edward Means 70 of Mt. Sterling passed away at his residence Thursday, February 8, 2024. He was born August 23, 1953 in Mt. Sterling to Stanley and Ruby Means. He was a truck driver. He is survived by his wife Dessie Means, three sons Ricky Means and wife Michelle, Dwayne Watkins, Steven Ashley and his wife Tabatha, thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother Ike Sams, three sisters Elizabeth Means, Margret Ashley and Delinia “Sissy” Sams. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Ruby Means, four brothers Robert Means, Danny Means, Bobby Anderson and Paul Sams. Funeral services will be held 1PM Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Clay City with Bro. Cheyenne Allen officiating. Friends may visit Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 6 till 8 PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Robert White, Dwayne Watkins, Jeramiah Taulbee, Justin Warner, Steven Ashley and Tim Isaacs. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Means and Jerry Watkins. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge of services.
