Edrah Faye Hurt

Edrah Faye Hurt 87 of Clay City passed away at her residence Tuesday, June 27, 2023. She was born January 7, 1936 in Hazard to Ernest and Ethel Hoskins. She was a Waitress for 20 years at the Old Clay City Restaurant. She is survived by a son Ernest Morgan Hurt of Clay City, a daughter Vivian Powell and husband Montford of Clay City, eight grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and a brother Woodson Hoskins of Hazard. She was preceded in death by her husband Hobert Hurt, a daughter Yvonne Hurt, daughter in-law Kathy Hurt, and two brothers Farrell and Egbert Hoskins. Funeral services will be held 1pm Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City with Bro. Sam Stacy officiating. Friends may visit Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 6pm till 8pm. Burial will be in the Eaton Cemetery. Pallbearers are Montford Powell, Ernie Hurt, Kory Hurt, Aaron Chadwick, Jordan Powell and James “Poke” Thelander. Honorary pallbearers are Patsy Powell, Jamie and Brigitte Hacker, Vanessa Napier, Kristen Hurt, Dean Hoskins, Anthony Hoskins, Adam Hoskins, Nurses and Staff of Hospice East and her nieces and nephews. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge of services.
