Ruth Curtis Sweet 90 finished her journey home on Saturday, November 26, 2016 surrounded by love ones. She was the daughter of the Late Hebert and Mary Witt Willoughby. She was a homemaker and loved to read and sing about Jesus. She was a Sunday school teacher for 30 years. Ruth is survived by one daughter Kay Gilvin and her husband Buck, three granddaughters Karen Agee, Karla Reeves and her husband Don, Janette Mangold, two very special grandchildren Pam and Henry Doolin, three great – granddaughters, two great great granddaughters, three great great grandsons, two sister In-laws Ella Rae Willoughby, Mary Curtis Several nieces and nephews and her cat BB. James Elwood Elam 75 of Clay City husband of Mary Elam passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016. He worked as a logger. He is survived by his wife Mary Elam of Clay City, one son James Christopher Elam of Clay City, two daughters Angela Strange and her husband Danny of Frenchburg, Wyona Holder and her husband Farley of Frenchburg, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Nancy Elam and a son Jerry Elam, one brother Harold Elam, three sister’s Julie Watkins, Olive Campbell and Loretta Brewer. Malcolm Everett “Mac” Highley 91 passed away Monday, November 7, 2016. He was the son of the late Everett and Callie Fowler Highley. He was an employee of Kentucky Utilities Company for 44 years and was a Kentucky Colonel. He loved to garden and watch the church league Softball but most of all he loved his family.
