John Stanhope 7o of Winchester passed away at his residence Tuesday, April 15, 2014. He was a member of the Arch Of Mercy Church and he retired from Leggett and Platt. He is survived by his wife Brenda Stanholt, one step-son Melvin Banks Jr. (Eldoria) of Clay City, two step-daughters Roberta Anderson (Chris) of Clay City, Brenda Banks of Winchester, six grandchildren, one half brother Carley Baker of Winchester, two half sisters Bertha Baker and Diane Walters of Mt. Sterling. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge of services.

Frank Elswick Jr. 55 of Stanton passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014. He was the son of the late Frank Sr. and Bertie Elswick. He is survived by two sons Adam Elswick (Constance) of Louisburg, OH, Mathew Shannon (Amanda) Elswick of West Alexandria, OH, one daughter Chelsey Elswick of Clay City, five grandchildren, one brother Steve Huddelson of Indianapolis, IN, four sisters Shirley Brown of Campton, Louis Madden of Beattyville, Jean Kirk of Clay City and Cathy Miller of Clay City. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank Sr. and Bertie Elswick, one brother Brian Elswick and two sisters Jane Elswick and Brenda Elswick. Private family services were held. Grayson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his father Charles Edward Banks of Mesa, Arizona, one son Daniel Banks of Flagstaff, Arizona, three daughters Amanda Tafoya of Kent, Washington, Cassandra Maldonado of Tacoma, Washington, Kaitland Banks of Stanton, one brother James Banks of Knoxville, Tennessee, one sister Ila McEntire of Stanton. He was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Banks. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge of services.

Ollie Faye CoffeyOllie Faye Coffey 59 wife of Johnney Coffey passed away at her residence Saturday, March 15, 2014. She was a housewife and a member of The Never Ending Grace Church. Survivors include  her husband Johnney Coffey  of Stanton, three sons Robert Knox, James Knox, Christopher Coffey all of Stanton, one daughter Donna Myers (Ray) of Stanton, two stepchildren Uriah Coffey and Dana Miles, twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren, two sisters Brenda Nalasko of Stanton and Donna Baker of Clay City. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Pearl Watkins, three brothers Jimmy, Albert and Bill Watkins and one sister Anna Mae Booth. Funeral services will be held 2PM Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at The Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Clay City friends may visit Monday, March 17 from 6 – 9 PM. Burial will be in the Stone Gate Cemetery in Stanton. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge of services.

Charles WilliamsCharles Williams 65 of Jeffersonville passed away Monday, March 11, 2014 at The University of Louisville Hospital. He was a former employee of Pleasant Valley Packing and ran several pay lakes he was a member of The Church on the Rock. Charles is survived by two sons Charles Edward Williams (Jennifer) of Winchester; Timothy Williams (Candy) of Mt. Sterling three daughters Dorothy Chandler (Robert) Mt. Sterling, Charlotte Parker (Stephen) of Jeffersonville, Teresa Rose (Robert)  of Mt. Sterling and twelve grandchildren, five brothers AJ Williams of Jeffersonville, Virgil Williams and Delmar Williams both of Illinois, Andrew Ritchie of Clay City, Harry Ritchie of Camargo three sisters Evelyn Goff of Pennsylvania, Linda Rothwell  and Louise Castoral both of Camargo. He was preceded in death by his parents Delmar and Hadie Williams. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, March 15, 2014 at The Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Clay City with Charles Edward Williams officiating with burial in Lovely Cemetery. Michael Bishop 59 of Clay City passed away at his residence Saturday, March 08, 2014. He was a self- employed plumber and a member of the Goff’s Corner Church of God. He is survived by one son Michael Shane Sizemore of Knott Co. one brother Timothy Bishop (Wilma) of Stanton, five sisters Judy Roberts (JC) of Stanton, Jean Wilcox of Berea, Connie Bishop of Berea, Patricia Townsend (Seldon) of Stanton, Tina Herald (Troy) of Stanton and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Luda Bishop and one brother Kenneth Bishop. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, March 12th at The Grayson Funeral Home Chapel friends may visit Tuesday from 5 till 8 PM. Burial will be in the Ware Puckett Cemetery. Rita was a homemaker and a member of The Ralph Banks Full Gospel Church. She is survived by her husband Robert L. Thomas of Clay City, one son Fred Stokley Jr (Connie) of Clay City, one daughter Sandra Sue Tolson of Winchester, one step daughter Mary Murphy (Steven) of Indiana, three brother Marvin Banks of Clay City, Melvin Banks of Clay City, and Johnny Banks of Clay City and nine grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in by her first husband Fred Stokley Sr. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Thursday, February 20, 2014 at The Ralph Banks Full Gospel Church friends may visit Wednesday from 5 till 9 PM at the church. He was a pipeline worker a Mason and member of The Vaughn’s Mill First Church of God. He is survived by his mother Ruth Hall of Clay City, one brother Terry Glenn Hall (Janice) of Sevierville, TN, one sister Linda Butler (Don) of Clay City, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Gayle Hall and his father Herman Hall. A memorial service will be held 2PM Sunday, February 23, 2014 at The Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Clay City with Pastor Warren Rogers officiating. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge of services.
